Miradouro do Cervo

Portugal - Viana do Castelo

Perched above the town of Caminha in northern Portugal, Miradouro do Cervo offers stunning panoramic views of the Minho River, the Atlantic Ocean, and the lush Galician hills in Spain. This viewpoint is named after the large deer (cervo) statue that stands proudly on the hillside, symbolising the region’s connection to nature and wildlife.

Visitors can drive or hike up to the viewpoint, where they’ll be rewarded with spectacular scenery and a peaceful atmosphere. Sunsets from this spot are particularly magical, casting golden hues over the river and coastline.

Best of all, Miradouro do Cervo is completely free to visit, making it an ideal stop for photographers, nature lovers, and anyone exploring Viana do Castelo.
