Miradouro da Serra do Pilar
Portugal - Porto
Miradouro da Serra do Pilar is one of Porto’s most spectacular viewpoints, located in Vila Nova de Gaia. From here, visitors can take in breathtaking views of the Douro River, the famous Dom Luís I Bridge, and the colourful rooftops of Porto’s Ribeira district.
The viewpoint is part of the Serra do Pilar Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. While access to the monastery requires a ticket, the miradouro itself is completely free. It’s especially popular at sunset when the golden light creates a stunning backdrop over the city.
Easily accessible by foot or the metro (Jardim do Morro station), Miradouro da Serra do Pilar is a must-visit for photographers and travellers wanting to admire Porto’s beauty from above.
