Cabo Girão is an extremely high vertical cliff in Madeira near Câmara de Lobos. The Skywalk is a relatively new feature (2012) which is basically a glass walkway where you can see directly below the cliffs.  If you are afraid of heights then watch out!

However, the views are absolutely stunning and it is a must if you are going to Madeira.  The Skywalk is free at the time of writing and there are facilities such as toilets, cafes and souvenir shops.

Ideal for:

  • solo travellers
  • couples
  • families
  • picnics
